What are Neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport are highly effective injectable treatments that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles. By softening repetitive muscle contractions, they smooth out fine lines and wrinkles while also helping prevent new ones from forming. Common areas include forehead lines, frown lines (the “11s”), crow’s feet, and sometimes areas of the lower face.
Neuromodulators aren’t just for aesthetics—they can also treat medical concerns like TMJ pain, excessive sweating, and facial asymmetry. Results typically appear within a few days, with full effect visible by two weeks. Treatments last 3–4 months, and regular appointments help maintain a balanced, refreshed look over time.
What to Expect
At your appointment, we will will review your goals and determine the right dosing and placement. The injection process is quick and typically well tolerated, with most appointments lasting under 30 minutes. Some swelling, tenderness, and bruising are normal following treatment. These effects generally resolve on their own and may last from one to two weeks. For this reason, it’s best not to schedule your treatment within two weeks of any important events.
For best results, follow the aftercare instructions provided—often this means avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and direct sun exposure for a short period after treatment.
Neuromodulators are a safe, minimally invasive way to restore a natural, youthful appearance. Every treatment plan is customized for your needs, whether you’re focused on wrinkle reduction, prevention, or addressing concerns like TMJ discomfort.
