What is PRF Gel?
PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) gel is created from your own blood. After a quick draw, it’s spun in a centrifuge to concentrate growth factors and stem cells. When gently heated, the liquid transforms into a gel that mimics filler — but is 100% from your own body. PRF helps restore volume, stimulate collagen, and improve skin strength and laxity. It’s a natural alternative for patients who prefer regenerative treatments.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your provider will begin with a detailed assessment of your facial structure and then design a treatment plan that may include the cheeks, jawline, chin, or lips. Small injections of PRF Gel are placed strategically to restore balance, and results are immediate. Some swelling, tenderness, and bruising are normal following treatment. These effects generally resolve on their own and may last one to two weeks. For this reason, it’s best not to schedule your treatment within two weeks of any important events.
Results vary by individual. Each person’s response to treatment is unique, and outcomes may differ from one person to another. PRF Gel typically lasts anywhere from 6 to 9 months.
Once optimal results are obtained, your provider may recommend 1-2 sessions annually for maintenance.
